10 Fall Quilting & Sewing Projects

Thimbles is back with 10 more fall projects to quilt and sew!

We’ve created fun fall quilt project lists for 4 years running, which means with today’s installation there are over 30 projects to explore. If nothing on this year’s list catches your eye, check out Our Favorite Fall Projects, More Fall Projects to Quilt and Sew, and EVEN MORE Fall Quilting Projects for more inspiration!

Ghosters Rope Coaster

We have fallen in love with the Ghosters Rope Coasters from WeAllSew. They are so easy and sweet, and they work up really quickly. The technique is beyond simple—just grab some cotton cording and start zigzag stitching the cording into an oval shape. Kara is already thinking of ways to utilize this technique to make other fun holiday items (stay tuned!).

Pam Offerman’s grandson Kyle whipped together some ghosters up for the Halloween season this year.  This is such a great project to inspire new quilters and sewists!

Happy Fall Y’All Pumpkin Table Runner

The fall season hasn’t truly begun if you haven’t taken out your pumpkin table runner. If you haven’t quilted a pumpkin table runner yet, this one is really cute and easy enough for even beginner quilters. The central pumpkin is monogrammed for personalization, with “Happy Fall Y’All” embroidered across the squares.

All you need is toilet paper, some autumnal fat quarters, cinnamon sticks, and silk leaves. These require no sewing, and you won’t cut into your fat quarters, so you can still use them later.
